A 17 year old girl who dreamed of becoming a teacher is dead and four other teens hurt after a single vehicle crash on Grand Manan.
Danielle Park was class valedictorian at Grand Manan Community School and had been accepted at Mount Allison University. She had worked at the Grand Manan Art Gallery for the past two summers and played basketball with Team New Brunswick.
Danielle’s dad, Mike plays each year in the BNB Intermediate division and her granddad, Dave Park is a retired teacher and was a basketball referee for many years.
A funeral service for her will be held this Thursday afternoon at the school starting at 1:30.
The fatal crash of a mini van happened Sunday night around 9:30 on the Whistle Road.
4 other teens, between the ages of 14 and 17, were injured in the crash and taken to hospital.
The RCMP collision reconstructionist is trying to determine how the crash happened..
