It’s hard to believe but some people don’t lock their cars. That is why several people in East Saint John had their belongings stolen.
Sgt. Jay Henderson of the City police tells us they got a number of calls on Thursday morning about someone going through cars near Treadwell Lake on Comox and Evergreen Streets and Lakeside Drive.
He says electronics, cash, gym bags, wallets and purses were taken from these unlocked vehicles.
City police are reminding people of the “Lock It and Pocket” program where vehicle owners are encouraged to keep valuables out of site and to lock their vehicles and pocket the keys.
