Saint John Energy is scrambling to keep up with the number of calls about trees falling into power lines.
There are power outages on the lower west side along Watson Street, Prince Street and Lancaster Avenue, in Grand Bay, Lorneville, University Avenue, Kennebecasis Drive, Sandy Point Road and Woodward Avenue. Saint John Energy also reporting there are other smaller outages in the city.
NB Power reports 130 thousand homes and businesses are in the dark with 56 thousand in the Fredericton area, more than 12 thousand 500 in the Rothesay region, almost 11 thousand in St. Stephen and 58 hundred in Sussex.
