P.R.O. Kids receiving $6400 from the Brian Lund Memorial Fund administered by the Community Foundation. Brian Lund passed away suddenly in 2007 leaving behind a wife, two kids and a large extended family.
His wife Rosy Lund tells CHSJ News each the fund raising money and the family has a decision to make on how they will use that income.
She says they have always chosen P.R.O. Kids because it was important to Brian to help youth in the area and it’s what he would want.
For the first several years, the Fund generated income from charity casinos and Lund tells us they decided to take a break from that for now.
P.R.O. Kids Chair Cathy Davison says this money will go directly to helping kids participate in activities like sports, musical theatre and dance.
