A high-tech piece of machinery that helps doctors detect tumours and other diseases is coming to the Moncton hospital by winter of 2015.
The new single photon emission computed tomography CT machine will be an investment of $1.2 million.
The SPECT-CT scans let doctors know how different parts of the body function. Rotating in a 360 degree arc around the patient, the camera reconstructs a 3D image.
