The Saint John Learning Exchange getting a big financial boost by way of the 100 Women Who Care.
Executive Director Christina Fowler tells us the more than $25,000 the organization is receiving will be going towards expanding their social enterprise businesses. They currently have two, Voila! Cleaning Services and Stone Soup Catering. Fowler says they’re very interested in helping their learners build skills outside the classroom so they can retain employment.
The Y’s Strong Kids program and the InterAction School of Performing Arts also pitching at the meeting.
This is the fifth meeting of the 100 Women Who Care of Greater Saint John who have now raised more than $120,000 for local charities.
