Dennis Oland has been found guilty of second degree murder in the death of his father, Richard in July of 2011.
The jury in Saint John began its deliberations Wednesday afternoon and concluded them after more than 30 hours.
Oland is described as inconsolable in the court and doubled over while his wife, Lisa has left the courtroom. Sentencing for Oland will be held on February 11th. In the meantime, he has been remanded to jail.
Oland was discovered in his Canterbury Street office in uptown Saint John bludgeoned to death on July 7th of 2011.
