The jurors at the second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland continue to deliberate his fate.
The 12 jurors began their deliberations at about 3:30pm on Wednesday, finished up at about 8:30pm and then resumed at 9am on Thursday. Dennis Oland is accused of killing his father, high-profile and wealthy businessman Richard Oland—whose bludgeoned body was discovered face down in a pool of blood in his investment firm office on July 7, 2011.
The jury has been told that there are only two verdicts that they can bring back in this case: guilty of second-degree murder or not guilty of second-degree murder. The verdict has to be unanimous. This is day 51 of the trial.
