$10 million dollars has been raised for the field house project for Exhibition Park.
Bill MacMackin is the Project Leader, he says the project will cost $24 million dollars.
He says there’s still work to be done around the federal and provincial funding applications.
MacMackin says projects that have strong community support usually get support from the federal and provincial level.
He says the goal is to raise another $2 million dollars within the community.
So far, $4.2 million dollars of funding coming from the city, $5 million from Exhibition Park and $800,000 from various donors.
MacMackin says contruction will take roughly 18 months and he hopes it will start sometime next year.
