A study on how long you have to wait for medically necessary surgery or other therapeutic treatment has been released by the Fraser Institute. It concludes wait times remain stagnant for the third consecutive year.
The study claims people in the Atlantic provinces face the longest median wait times with New Brunswick at 42.8 weeks.
The study finds Saskatchewan now has the shortest median wait times in the country at 13.6 weeks.
The Fraser Institute does caution the number of responses to its survey in Atlantic Canada was lower than other provinces and this could result in reported wait times being higher or lower than those actually experienced.
