There were more than 3 thousand homes and businesses without power this morning but that number has been drastically reduced.
At one point yesterday because of the severe thunderstorms, that number was as high as 24 thousand.
A lightning strike causing a transmission outage in the greater Fredericton area leaving more than 7000 NB Power customers off the grid. That’s now down to just over 900 as of early this morning.
There were more than 12 hundred homes and businesses without power in Grand Bay-Westfield and over 11 hundred in Havelock. NB Power had the power back on in both areas by 7:00.
