Time is running out for the Maritime Greyhound Adoption Program and its NB Liquor fundraisers.
Starting July 1st, small organizations will no longer be able to collect donations at liquor stores.
Spokesperson Christina Tardif says that is going to mean a lot less fundraising dollars coming in.
She says, “The support of liquor stores and being able to ask for donations out in front of the liquor stores, that was our main supplier of revenue, so now we’re exploring new ways.”
They’ll hold their first ever Walk for Hounds this Saturday in three New Brunswick cities, Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton.
The fee is $40 for the walk, and there are sponsorship sheets available as well.
