Arlene Dickinson telling a full room that small businesses owners and start-ups can’t find funding here and that means they will leave.
To avoid that, Dickinson says someone needs to start that fund.
She says when you bring money here and invest in local entrepreneurs you change your economy and makes things happen.
Dickinson put over 1.5 million dollars into a space to help entrepreneurs in Calgary grow and is currently raising 40 to 50 million in a fund to invest in companies that are created through this effort.
