Close to 200 fire-fighters from across this Province and Maine are in Saint John today to honour fallen colleagues. The day of remembrance was declared following the 9-11 attack in New York City Nine years ago.
Captain Paul McDade of the Saint John Force tells CHSJ News, the parade will get started at three on King Street East. Captain McDade says the ceremony is not only meant to remember those fire-fighters who died on the job but also those who died as the result of their work.
The ceremony at the memorial stone in King’s Square is set to get started close to three thirty.
