Local businesses, community organizations and youth groups will come together across the country this week in an effort to break a world record.
Spokesperson for JD Irving Limited Mary Keith says the team will be made up of anywhere from 25 to 100 people, and their plan is to plant more than 150, 000 trees across North America in one hour.
In New Brunswick, their goal is 40, 000 trees.
Three teams will be gathering near Edmundston, Fredericton and Moncton from 1pm until 2 tomorrow afternoon to do the planting.
This is part of a Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
