Five teenage boys being arrested after an attempted armed home invasion in St. Stephen.
RCMP say they got a call on Tuesday afternoon, November 17th, just before 1:30pm, that three boys wearing masks had entered an apartment on Union Street, and attempted to rob a 22-year-old man at knifepoint.
The man was assaulted and suffered minor injuries; the teenagers left empty-handed.
They were joined by two other teenage boys who were waiting outside the apartment, and all five boys were later arrested.
A 16 year old and a 15 year old, both from St. Stephen, appearing in Saint John Provincial Youth Court today.
Three other 16-year-olds, one from St. Andrews, one from Wards Creek, and the other from St. Stephen, were released on conditions and will appear in court February 26th.
Police believe it was an isolated incident and say the victim and youths were known to each other.
