The Minister of National Defence has offered his thoughts and prayers to the family of Sergeant Andrew Doiron, after the release of a report into the soldiers death.
A Canadian military investigation has concluded that Doirons’s’ death was a tragic case of mistaken identity.
In a news release, Jason Kenney stated that the investigation found Sergeant Doiron and his team acted with the utmost professionalism and performed to the highest of standards.
Doiron, who is originally from Moncton was shot and killed by Kurdish fighters in Iraq on March 6th. Three others were hurt in the incident.
