New Brunswick’s afterschool music program is expanding again.
Sistema New Brunswick will now be offered in Edmundston.
In cooperation with the new Brunswick Youth Orchestra, Sistema was first offered in 2009, with a program in Moncton. It has since expanded to several other cities including Saint John, and Richibucto.
The three hour hour a day free afterschool program runs five days a week, and teaches children how to play musical instruments, starting at the age of 6.
Kids learn focus and discipline, respect and teamwork through the program.
