The city is launching a blitz to repair potholes around the city.
The Deputy Commissioner of Transportation and Environment, Kevin Rice says 624 potholes have been repaired thus far but there are two to three times that many needing to be filled in. He’s hoping most will be done by the end of the month.
Rice is also urging people to call the city when they come across a pothole.
A pothole that’s about 200 centimeters square by ten centimeters deep triggers a repair and he’s urging people to call the city when they come across a pothole.
Rice says when city crews go to a particular street, they will be repairing all the potholes on that one road so they don’t have to go back later.
How soon the potholes on your street will be fixed depends on how much traffic there is, ranging from 4 days up to 30.
