The newest Royal baby has a name.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Barry Mackenzie, Atlantic spokesperson of the Monarchist League of Canada, says the odds were on Charlotte, the feminine form of Charles which has a long, royal pedigree.
“Each of the names reflect the personal choices of the duke and duchess and a long history of tradition.”
There had been speculation the couple would include the name of Diana in honour of Prince William’s mother.
The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, and is fourth in line to the throne.
