She says, “The Bay of Fundy has the world’s highest tides from zero to 46 feet of water. It’s actually 160 billion tons of water that comes in twice a day. It helps create these large rock formations that tourists can explore. We have two kilometres of coastline that people can walk around and see the ocean floor.”
This year, they have also added new stairs, “We now have more modern stairs. They are designed that there is a lane to go down and another lane to go back up, so the flow of people will be a lot smoother and it will be less congested,” Robichaud-Butland notes.
There are a total of 101 steps to bet to the ocean floor.
In order to enjoy Hopewell Rocks to its fullest, it’s suggested you visit during low tide.
