Two companies based in Fredericton are getting nearly $1-million in payroll rebates from Opportunities NB for the creation of up to 145 new IT jobs.
Keith McIntosh of Professional Quality Assurance established the software testing company PLATO, or, the Professional Aboriginal Testing Organization.
This new company will be completely staffed, run and owned by Aboriginal people and up to 87 new jobs will be created at this company which currently employs 10 people.
As well, up to 58 new jobs will be created at PQA as PLATO grows its workforce.
