The Port City will be wildly busy in the spring of 2017 as the East Coast Music Awards make a long awaited return.
The event was last hosted in Saint John back in 2002.
East Coast Music Assocation Executive Director Andy MacLean tells us determining which city gets to host is finding out who wants it the most.
He says Saint John was very proactive in terms of getting in touch with the ECMA board and the organization well before where we are for the 2017 awards.
Next year’s ECMA’s are in Cape Breton and the event is known to bring in more than 3 million dollars in economic impact for the host city.
