A big acquisition by Cooke Aquaculture in Charlotte County by buying up Icicle Seafoods to become a major player in the Alaskan fish market.
The deal includes Icicle’s three business units which harvest and process more than 150,000 metric tons of seafood annually.
Cooke will now be producing over 275,000 metric tons of seafood a year and annual sales of $1.8 billion.
