One of the few fresh faces on the new Saint John councillor is pub-owner Blake Armstrong who was elected alongside incumbent councillor Greg Norton for Ward 1 with nearly 3000 votes.
We asked Armstrong about his goals for the next four years and he says working with a friendly environment and getting to know people.
“To move the bar forward to make it a business-friendly city so people will come and invest in the city and that will make the city prosper,” says Armstrong.
Armstrong says it’s well known that Saint John is not business friendly and believes we have to give the people inside city hall direction to make the city business friendly.
