Mother’s Day was disrupted for many because of a major power failure that lasted several hours and affected more than 21,000 people in Quispamsis, Rothesay, Hampton and the outskirts of Saint John.
It’s believed the outage was caused by a transmission line failure.

Starting this morning, the Energy and Utilities Board will begin hearing an application by NB Power for a two per cent rate increase.
Members of the public will be given an opportunity to have their say tomorrow night at the Delta starting at 6:00.
