More than a thousand candidates province wide are anxiously awaiting the results from today’s municipal elections.
New Brunswickers are electing Councillors, Mayors, and members of the Regional Health Authority Councils and the District Education Councils.
Elections NB Chief Electoral Officer Mike Quinn says if you bring your Voter Information Card with you, it will decrease the time you need to spend voting.
“But you don’t need to bring that, and unlike the Federal Elections, if you’re on the Voter’s List, you don’t need to bring identification with you,” says Quinn. “State your name and address, and they’ll find you on the Voter’s List.”
Quinn says if you aren’t on the Voter’s List, you need to bring one or more pieces of ID with your name, address, and signature on them
He says a driver’s license is the perfect example.
