A mock train-car collision was held earlier today at the Douglas Ave rail crossing near Reversing Falls Bridge as part of National Rail Safety Week.
Laurie Johnston of NB Southern Railway says the purpose is to educate around the hazards of railway crossings.
Operation Lifesaver, NBM Railways, Fire dept, Police, Ambulance NB, Harbour View High School students, Safety Services NB, Transport Canada and EMO all took part in the event.
