Thomas Chabot had a goal and three assists in a four-goal third leading the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 7-3 road victory over the Quebec Remparts Saturday in front of more than 17,000 fans.
Spencer Smallman, Adam Bateman, Kyle Ward, Dan Del Paggio, Mathieu Joseph and Matthew Highmore also scored for Saint John, while Nathan Noel added four assists. Ward’s goal was the first of his Q League career.
Elsewhere in the Q, the Wildcats beat Chicoutimi 5-4 in a shootout.
In the NHL, the Caps over the Leafs 3-2 in a shootout, the Habs doubled the Bruins 4-2, Carolina got by Ottawa 3-2 in OT, the Sabres beat the Canucks 3-2.
The Kings beat the Panthers 4-1, the Flyers shut out the Jets 3-zip.
The New York Mets offering free-agent infielder Daniel Murphy a one-year, $15.8 million qualifying offer.
