Once a month, you may notice you had trouble sleeping, your animals ran the house all night, or maybe you noticed an uptick in criminal activity.
Many blame the madness on the full moon, but does it actually cause chaos?
UCLA Professor of planetary astronomy Jean-Luc Margot says we are all full of it.
He says there are hundreds of myths and pieces of folklore connected to the moon but it’s all coincidental.
So why do so many people believe the full moon is to blame?
Margot says it all comes down to something called “confirmation bias” like hospital workers linking busy days to the lunar cycle if they already believe the moon is influential.
Hopefully your superstitions won’t get the best of you the next full moon is Monday.
