After this weekend’s tour bus fire at Casino New Brunswick, Whoopi Goldberg fans around the world took to social media to ensure that she was okay, Whoopi responded with a post on Facebook, stating she was fine.
She complimented the fire department, and police officers, and thanked everyone in Moncton for making it a wonderful night on stage for her.
Her post on Facebook has also been drawing negative attention, because in it, she says Moncton is in Ontario.
This has drawn mixed reaction with some who were annoyed. Others expressed understanding, saying that Whoopi tours in a lot of cities, and can’t keep track of them all.
The fire on the bus cut Whoopi’s show short on Saturday night. Fire and smoke was reported coming from the rear of the bus and it took Moncton firefighters about ten minutes to get the flames out.
No one was hurt.
