Former NHLer Laurie Boschman turned the page on his professional hockey career and now focuses on inspiring kids on how to improve as both a player and person.
Boschman currently works for Hockey Ministries International and recently spoke about his faith at Harbour Station in Saint John.
When asked if the current players in the NHL have a lack of respect compared to his days, Boschman says its possible.
He said when he played there was a certain element of fear when you crossed the line because you knew there was someone on the other team that would set things straight.
Boschman was the very first captain of the Ottawa Senators when they entered the league in the 92-93 season.
He also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers.
