Another armed robbery of a taxi driver is under investigation by Major Crime. This one happened on Saturday morning shortly before 9 in the area of Paddock Street.
The robber approached a taxi in the area of King and Germain Street before threatening the driver with a knife. He took off in the direction of Cobourg Street with an undisclosed amount of money and the cabbie wasn’t injured.
The suspect is described as being in his early twenties with short “messy” blond hair, blue eyes and a baby face, wearing a baggy black hoody and dark colored cargo pants.
Police believe this robbery and the earlier one on April 13th are connected but it’s too early to say both holdups involve the same robber.
