Events are taking place across the country today in support of a campaign to increase the minimum wage to $15/hr.
Today is the National Day of Action, and in New Brunswick two events are taking place, both hosted with the help of the Common Front for Social Justice.
The campaign is a call to the provincial governments to recognize the need for a 15 dollar an hour minimum wage to stop people from being trapped in poverty.
A rally, petition signing, as well as outreach and leafleting will take place at noon today in front of Champlain Place in Dieppe with a second one at 3:30 today at the corner of McAllister and Westmoreland in Saint John.
