An annual springtime tradition is about to begin in New Brunswick – the 2016 fishing season.
For many rivers and brooks in the province, the season opens this Friday the 15th.
Additional rivers and lakes open to fishing on May 1st and northern lakes open on May 15th.
Fishing licenses can either by purchased online through the Department of Natural Resources web-based system, click HERE, or in-person at Service New Brunswick or through private vendors.
And if you catch anything, officials are urging you to report your catch online so the DNR can better manage the province’s recreational fishery.
