Liberal Incumbent Dominic Leblanc celebrated another win last night in the riding of Beausejour, but this time, he had even more to be excited about.
For the past four and a half years, he has been the only Liberal MP in New Brunswick, but now he says when the Liberal caucus meets, he won’t be sitting alone in an office, anymore.
He says, “It looks like I have some remarkable women and men who are elected to the House of Commons as Liberal members of Parliament from New Brunswick. I have worked with them as candidates a great deal over the last several months so I am very excited about the team.”
Leblanc was first elected to the House in the riding of Beausejour in 2000.
He declined to answer when asked whether or not he would be receiving a cabinet seat, now that the Liberals are forming a majority government….and Justin Trudeau will be Canada’s new Prime Minister.
He says, Canadians wanted change, “They wanted to replace the tired, out of touch Harper government with a better government. I think with the support of Canadians, Justin Trudeau has the opportunity to be one of the country’s great Prime Ministers.”
