A 34 year old man has been arrested after a stand-off lasting nearly 21 hours.
No one was injured during the arrest, which took place at a home in Mayfield, outside St. Stephen.
Police were called to the home Sunday afternoon, initially responding to a report of a shot fired, which happened when the fire department responded to a car fire at the residence.
Later in the evening, more shots were fired at police, with one bullet striking the RCMP’s Tactical Armoured Vehicle.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
The portion of Route 735 which was closed, has now been re-opened to traffic.
