The search is on for a new CEO of the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce.
Tracy Bell is leaving at the end of November to take a new role at the Wallace McCain Institute, the chamber announced Friday.
“We are sorry to see Tracy go but we want to congratulate her on this new opportunity,” said a release from the chamber.
Bell joined the chamber in March and replaced David Duplisea, who stepped down last fall after 10 years at the helm.
Chamber officials said Bell played an integral role over the past few months to help grow the organization and redefine its service to the region.
The chamber has added 190 new members so far this year and developed a “revitalized future-focused direction.”
“I will continue to be an ally, a resource, and a champion for the Chamber network, an organization I care about and remain deeply committed to,” said Bell.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Chamber’s board, staff, and members for entrusting me with the leadership of this remarkable organization.”
Carole Cunningham, director of events and administration, will take on the role of interim CEO while the search for a new leader takes place.
