Several thousand New Brunswickers are now on their fifth day without electricity.
NB Power says around 12,000 homes and businesses remain without power after Monday’s wind and rain storm.
The utility hopes to have most customers restored by Christmas but admitted it could take a bit longer for some smaller outages.

Meanwhile, Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West MLA Andrea Anderson-Mason expressed her excitement on Thursday night with restoration efforts.
In a social media post, Anderson-Mason said crews had arrived with at least 60 trucks in St. Stephen at the old Border Arena.
