The Saint John Sea Dogs have traded another player in exchange for future draft picks.
On Tuesday, the team announced that forward Connor Trenholm had been traded to the Moncton Wildcats.
In exchange, the Sea Dogs will receive a second-round selection in 2023 and a second-round selection in 2025.
“We were so pleased to add Connor to our group last season and today we’re just as sad to see him go,” president and general manager Trevor Georgie said in a statement.
“He is a tremendous young man who brings energy to the team on and off the ice. His character and work ethic are off the charts and we wish him the best of luck in Moncton.”
Trenholm was acquired by the Sea Dogs last season on their run to the Memorial Cup. He has 21 points in 34 games this season and a total of 73 points in 188 QMJHL games.
Last week, the Sea Dogs completed a trade with Gatineau which saw them receive a first-round selection and a second-round selection in 2024 in exchange for Cam MacDonald.
