RCMP New Brunswick has reported a 46-year-old man from Bathurst has died following a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in New Bandon, N.B.
Officials mentioned in a release that on Sept. 3, at approximately 11:25 p.m., members of the Chaleur Region RCMP, Janeville Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Highway 11, in New Bandon.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
“The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway, and the driver was thrown from the bike,” reads the release from RCMP.
A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s office is assisting with the investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
