A system error led to thousands of Ambulance New Brunswick and Extra-Mural Program (EM/ANB) workers not getting paid on time this week.
Employees waking up on Thursday found their usual pay had not been deposited into their accounts.
A spokesperson for EM/ANB confirmed they became aware of a problem with their regularly scheduled payroll deposits early Thursday.
“We have since confirmed that this was due to a system error with our payroll provider, which caused a delay in the transfer of funds,” Christianna Williston wrote in an email.
Williston said the issue was expected to be fixed late Thursday, so employees should have their money as of Friday morning.
Every step will be taken to ensure this error is not repeated and that a permanent solution is in place moving forward, she said.
“We would like to apologize to all of our Ambulance New Brunswick and Extra-Mural Program staff for this disruption, and thank them for their patience as we worked to resolve the issue,” said Williston.
