Clean-up continues at St. Stephen Middle School after a frozen pipe burst last weekend and caused water damage.
A spokesperson for the Anglophone South School District said it happened through the night Saturday into Sunday.
Jessica Hanlon told our newsroom that the lower level of the two-storey school was the most impacted.
“As a result, some of the classrooms on that floor are being temporarily moved to other parts of the school,” Hanlon said Friday in an email.
Hanlon said restoration efforts have begun and are expected to be completed by March Break.
Students will return to the school when in-person learning resumes, she said, which is expected to be on Jan. 31.
