Rapid-Testing Program
New Brunswick is set to expand its rapid-testing program to the entire province. Beginning on Monday, New Brunswickers who fit the criteria will be eligible for the program.
To receive the free kit, you must be over the age of two, not have COVID-19 symptoms and not be identified as a close contact by Public Health.
In addition, anyone age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult to access the program.
Those who qualify will receive a kit of five tests to be used over a 10-day period.
“It is important that anyone who has a positive result on a rapid test get a lab-based PCR test at an assessment centre to confirm the results,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health.
Starting on Saturday, residents in the circuit breaker areas will be able to access the rapid-testing program.
