A 37-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of a 40-year-old man in Allandale, N.B., west of Fredericton.
Mounties responded just before 9 p.m. on Monday after a shooting on a dirt road in a wooded area.
James Robert Paul of Kingsclear First Nation was found dead at the scene.
An autopsy determined he died from a gunshot wound.
The New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit deployed several resources including Air Services, Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Services and others to find Francis Gabriel Solomon Junior of Kingsclear First Nation who was arrested on Tuesday morning in Allandale.
Solomon Junior was charged on Wednesday morning and held for a court appearance in Fredericton Provincial Court on October 6, 2021, at 10:30 a.m.
