Memorial for family killed in camper fire in Amherst.
The town of Amherst, N.S., is feeling the loss of a family of six who was killed after a fire inside a travel trailer in Cumberland County.
A large photo of the family has been set up at a memorial site in Victoria Square to help the community pay their respects.
A 30-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman, and their four children, who were between three and 11 years old, died after the Sunday night fire in Millvale. Police say it is not considered suspicious at this time.
The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education says the school community has been hit hard by the tragic loss of three of its students.
School psychologists and other supports will be provided at Cumberland North Academy to help.
