A recent study conducted by the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour found that 91% of 2019 New Brunswick Community College graduates found employment.
That’s an increase of 2% compared to the year prior, despite the impact COVID-19 has had on the job market.
“That tells us that NBCC learners are graduating with the skills security to weather the storm,” said Mary Butler, President and CEO of NBCC.
Of the graduates to successfully find work, 82% found employment that directly relates to their field of study, and 9 out of 10 are working positions that relate to their training in some way.
“The success of our graduates in securing employment in their chosen fields, right here in New Brunswick, is an important indicator of
NBCC’s role in the province’s economy,” said Butler, referring to the 94% percent of working graduates that have stayed in the province.
The annual survey was conducted in November 2020.
