Saint John residents can pay their respects to the family of a five-year-old boy who died over the weekend.
Visitation for James Taylor will take place Wednesday and Thursday at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Paradise Row.
Taylor, who was in palliative care at the Saint John Regional Hospital, passed away on Saturday.
He had been diagnosed with a genetic disorder and was suffering from liver failure.
Taylor’s death came just hours after the Greater Saint John community came together to help grant his final wish.
He had one simple wish: to have a parade of emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, antique cars, and other vehicles.
An estimated 1,000 vehicles came out to the hospital on Saturday morning, where Taylor watched from his hospital bed outside.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. on both days. Guests are asked to enter the building through the courtyard entrance, where staff will help with COVID-19 protocol.
An invite-only funeral service will take place at noon on Friday. The service will also be streamed live on Brenan’s Funeral Home’s website.
