Members of the New Brunswick RCMP are rolling up their sleeves for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccination clinics are currently being held for first responders and employees of their agencies.
A second dose will be given within 14 to 16 weeks.
Sgt. Peter Stubbs, of the St. Stephen detachment says, “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to get the vaccine at this time, and was happy to book my appointment as soon as the registration for these clinics opened,” says Sgt. Stubbs. “I see it as one of the best and simplest things I can do to help ensure everyone’s health and safety, and get us back to normal as soon as possible. I hope that everyone takes advantage of the first opportunity they have to get the vaccine.”
The vaccine is voluntary, but the RCMP has encouraged them to get the first vaccine available to them.
Kennebecasis Regional Police Force officers are also receiving their shot this week.
