RCMP say a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a 20-year-old Saint John man wanted in the death of a man in Fairfield last week.
Tyler Gamblin, who police initially called a “person of interest” in the death of Nathan Gallant, was charged with second-degree murder on Wednesday.
Police say Gallant was found lying along the side of Route 825 in Fairfield, east of Saint John, at 6:40 p.m. on July 8.
They say the 29-year-old man from Saint John, who was badly injured and suffering from stab wounds, later died in the hospital.
Gamblin is described as about 5’10” tall, weighing around 155 pounds with a slim build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
“Police are reminding the public that it is an offence under the Criminal Code for anyone to aid or assist a person who has been involved in a crime,” said the RCMP.
If you see Gamblin, RCMP say you should not approach him but instead call police immediately.
Anyone with information which could help investigators is asked to call the Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-7267 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
